  1. I almost gave this DVD a 4 star rating because it seemed at first to be the most positive, most energetic and potentially effective of all the DVDS in the SLIM, SHAPE and SCULPT series. Leslie appeared to be very lively and enthusiatic introducing the Walkblaster step which she claims “slims, tones and firms your lower body. ” She added by claiming “If you want to get those legs in shape this is the way to walk. ”

Although the major emphasis on this DVD appears to be the legs, thighs and gluteals, Leslie works out what she calls the “rotator” muscles of your core by doing arm raises and “crossover” exercises using the Walkblaster. I really liked this. However the arms themselves were NOT worked out using light weights as Leslie did on the Slim Shape & Sculpt – Sculpt & Burn tape. In fact no weights at all were used on this DVD. The only strength training came from walking up an incline using the Walkblaster.

Finally, I missed the energy of the Walk At Home Walk Slim tapes particularly Leslie Sansone’s Walk Slim – 4 Fast Miles (2-Disc Set) and my favorite of all of Leslie Sansone’s DVD, Leslie Sansone Walk Slim: Fast and Firm 4 Really Big Miles. These cannot be beat.

    Rating: 3 / 5
