I LOVE this video! It is a great start for people who want to tone up and get in shape. They really show you the basics of Pilates, and there are 3 different levels you can work at. If you don’t have a move down you can hit a button on your DVD Player remote and a little screen comes up to show you the move again. I have given it away so many times, I have to keep buying it! After about a week I noticed my love handles disappearing. Definitely give it a try.

I love this DVD! I wore out the first one and had to come to you for a 2nd. I get a good work out (non aerobic) and a good stretch for my whole body and it is soothing. I feel at peace when I am done. There are three levels so you can stay with it as you get better. When I miss a few weeks or a month I can start at a lower level and work my way back up again.

This is a nice honest exercise DVD for those who start Pilates or are at an intermediate level. There is an obvious effort made to bring quality to the image, sound, and to the rhythm of workout. It is nice to have the workout sequences shot at the ocean shore. There are 3 levels of progressive difficulty and you can pick either or see all with a focus on either. I always start with the extra sequence of “warming up”. The instructor, Suzanne Deason, and her two “colleagues” are very good at showing those patterns. It was a great idea to have an off voice lead the 3 instructors and yourself. Therefore the instructors are only concentrated on body movements, and so will you.

The rhythm is not exhausting; there is time to breathe between two exercises, and you realize you can do all of those patterns, and get pretty quickly to the intermediate level, and probably to some of the advanced.

Regarding the title of the DVD, I wasn’t able to figure out what type of exercise was more geared toward over-weight people, even though one of the ladies is slightly “rounder” than the other 2. If you eat less and healthier and do any Pilates exercice for half an hour every day, there is no way you wouldn’t lose weight, get much firmer abdominals and reduce your appetite by working on that stomach area! But doing only Pilates and eating like a pig will not help with weight loss!

I started off using 30 Minute Quick Start – Pilates for Weight Loss with Ana Caban and loved her video but wanted to see if there was a similar video for those days when I have more time to devote to working out. I thought the two videos would be similar (becasue they were both pilates conditions for weight loss) but was wrong! Pilates Conditioning for Weight Loss with Suzanne Deason was okay if you are a beginner or like a great explanation for everything (over and over again!). I found that the workout was really slow because she explained everything in great detail (good for beginners). It was so slow that I was getting bored during my workout. There was long pauses between each workout because there was too much talking!!! After using this video a few times, I just wanted to workout not hear the explanation a thousand times!!! It would have a been better if there a selection in the menu for people who already previewed the video so we could just workout!
