  1. I agree with all of the reviews on this page. The workouts are very fun to do. My favorites are bellydance boogie and hip drop hip hop. The other 2 tapes are okay but I just cant get into them b/c the music is so horrible. Rania is a skilled bellydancer but her routines and workout dont seem to have the flavor and uniqness that Veena and Neenas had. They seemed a little more enthusiastic about their workouts and their tapes are of a better quality. Another thing that kinda bothered me about this tape is one of her back dancers. The 2 white chicks just cant dance. Im sorry, I actually had to laugh at them. I think that the idea of bellydancing to different music is a great idea. This set isnt worth the money if you cant stand bad music, just get bellydance boogie and hip drop hip hop(these are the best ones!). Leave the other 2 on the shelf.

I really liked this series as an introduction to bellydancing. I liked the way the moves were broken down slowly at first, then brought up to speed with the music, then repeated long enought to actually learn them before moving on. I read some of the negative reviews, and the only thing I agree with is that the music was not inspiring, but it was the same kind of music as in most workout videos, so I really didn’t expect any different. Anyway, I think if you are an intermediate or advanced dancer, it will be too basic, but if you are like me, just a beginner who wants to learn, this was a great series. I have since gained the courage to join a bellydance class at my local YMCA, and everyone was impressed with my shimmies! Also, Rania’s performances at the end (there are extra ones on the DVD) are incredible and inspiring.

I have the belly dance twins videos and have enjoyed them. . but i have found these videos to be even more fun! My favorite is the cardio shimmy. I don’t find them repetetive at all. . . thats the best way to learn something anyway. THey are just right. So much fun. i would reccomend these tapes to someone who loves to belly dance and also loves a good cardio routine. The only complaint would probably be that i would have enjoyed more “belly dancing” music.

  4. I enjoy these videos. At first I thought I would never get the hang of some of the moves, but once you do, it’s still fast paced enough so you don’t get bored. They all get your heart rate up although only one is high-impact. They feel more like dancing than exercising so they have held my intrest longer than most. I recomend buying the whole set, you’ll want to keep doing them because they’re fun. These tapes are a fun way to include cardio into your workout while learning a few bellydance moves.

I bought this set before I read the reviews here. I am a personal trainer/fitness instructor, and I thought these workouts were well written, well-produced, and well executed. One of the most difficult things to do as an instructor is break down a new dance style without stopping the workout. Rania did an amazing job of starting techniques slowly, repeating them, layering them, then speeding them up to tempo. After watching the performances at the end, I realised why she left the more strenuous or potentially dangerous moves out of the fitness programs. I was really impressed with the whole set. When I read through the reviews I noticed that most of the negative reviews came from people proclaiming to be belly dancers. I was a jazz dancer before becoming a fitness professional. There is a big difference between teaching dance for fitness than for teaching dance as an art form. When teaching for fitness, you have to use only the moves that are effective in terms of fitness, safe, and ones that target a range of muscles groups for a well-rounded workout. If you are expecting to learn to really dance, buy a dance instruction tape. If you want to work out safely and effectively using bellydance moves, this set is first class. Congratulations to Rania.
